DNA Evidence Opposes Evolution

Dr. Andrey Cherstvy of the Max Planck Institute for Physics of Complex Systems in Germany, along with Gary Vezzon of the Institute for
Basic Sciences, have shown that electrostatic effects of DNA favor like species interaction over different species interaction. For decades now, the theory of evolution has relied upon the assumption that new information added into one species, from another species, was the source of new information needed to evolve into a new species. Mutations have been proven to be overwhelmingly destructive, and therefore, only by some process of sharing of information, has the theory of evolution been able to try and explane how the DNA structure can evolve with new non-destructive information. It has been known for a long time now that one of the mechanisms used by DNA sequences to link together is the attraction of these sequences to each other due to their electrostatic
charge, which is quite large. The DNA sequences are drawn to each other. Studies have now proven that in like species the attraction is very large, but electrostatic charges of DNA sequences from different species have been shown to be repulsive to each other, thus preventing any new information "infecting" the DNA structure. It is very unlikely that sequences of DNA information from different species would mix because their
electrostatic charges would repulse each other. For more information see also News & Updates (burneyfam.com) Sept. 09, January 08,

HOMELESS SERVICES

What do you do when you get panhandled?
Many kindhearted persons are persuaded to give spare change on the street when asked.
We certainly understand the impulse to be generous and helpful, and the hesitation to say
“no” to a needy person standing in front of you. We also understand feeling annoyed, put
on the spot, uncertain how to respond, or even threatened.
At Plowshares we try to discourage panhandling, and those who support it. Nearby
businesses complain that their customers are harassed and their business is negatively
impacted; it is difficult to know whether or not the money will be spent on alcohol or drugs;
and panhandling is illegal in many areas. Near Plowshares and other human-services
organizations, it creates ill-will among neighbors who blame us for attracting panhandlers.
All in all, we feel that the harm it does to homeless “public relations” outweighs the small
good it can do.
Many services and programs exist in the Ukiah area to help people who are hungry,
homeless, out of a job, or in some other kind of crisis. Plowshares provides free hot meals
and many other homeless services. Perhaps the most important of these is referral to other
agencies that specialize in helping them with their needs—employment, housing, disability
and veterans’ issues, domestic violence, mental health, substance abuse, etc. Our staff knows
where the best resources are for the most appropriate help for each person.
So if you hate to say no to someone asking you for help, we have another idea: Instead of
giving them money, you can give them one of the business-size cards shown here. It
provides basic information and a map to Plowshares, where we can feed them and help
them find other assistance. These little cards offer them much more value than the price of a
cup of coffee! Some people carry them in their glove box or wallet to give to people who ask
them for a cash handout, or appear to be in need.
You may stop by the Plowshares office to pick up some of these cards for free, weekdays
from 9 am to 7 pm. Ask for any staff member.

Victory Outreach
For those who are hopelessly addicted there is hope. Victory Outreach has over 350 live-in homes where addicts are delivered from a life of substance abuse. There are as many as 10,000 addicts in our drug programs at any one time. And the numbers are growing. Why? We believe  that to be effective we have to get to the heart of the problem. To overcome a physical addiction a person must discover mental and spiritual freedom. Our program includes as intensive rebuilding of what was often destroyed from earliest childhood. Our residential in-patient treatment facility is free of charge to the general public for those who cannot afford the high costs of drug and alcohol recovery.

Once in the home, the addict begins as intensive one year program that restores the whole person. We don"t replace drugs with synthetic prescriptions. It may be tough love to go cold turkey, but through our intensive support thousands have kicked their habit. Our program continues with a rigorous daily discipline of personal study, preparing meals, group discussions and even community service. The people who run the programs know it's not an easy road, because many of them are ex-addicts themselves. Yet through their tough-love, compassion and support, we've seen tremendous results. Last year alone over 25,000 addicts went through our program. Over 70% kicked drugs permanently.

The Victory Outreach Christian Recovery Home is a ministry of the local church. The home provides a residential Christian environment for men and women. The purpose of the Home is to reclaim, redeem and restore lives that have been destroyed or disrupted by drugs, alcohol and/or substance abuse by establishing three essential values: A commitment to Christ, restoration of the family and a positive work ethic.

This is what Victory Outreach is all about, and this is why we support them each week with our canned good donations. They are located in the old plowshares building on Luce Ave. here in Ukiah.

REMEMBER TO BRING AT LEAST ONE CAN OF FOOD EACH SUNDAY!
